LAGOS METROPOLITAN LIONS CLUB DELIVERS MAJOR BACK-TO-SCHOOL OUTREACH, EMPOWERS 600 PUPILS IN GBAGADA

Lagos Metropolitan Lions Club, on Friday, 26 September 2025, successfully carried out its biggest Back-to-School Activity to date, reaffirming its commitment to youth development and quality education. The impactful outreach was held at Araromi Primary School and Kiniun Ifa Primary School in Gbagada, Lagos, where hundreds of pupils benefitted from the humanitarian gesture.

The initiative was designed to support quality education by providing essential learning materials to pupils, while also easing the financial burden on parents and guardians at the start of the academic session. In line with this objective, no fewer than 600 pupils were directly reached during the exercise.

As part of the intervention, the Club distributed a wide range of educational materials, including 150 leather school bags, 3,000 units of 60-leaf exercise books, 3,000 pencils, 3,000 biros, 2,000 rulers, and 2,000 erasers. Each beneficiary received a complete learning kit, ensuring that the children were well-equipped to participate fully in their academic activities.

The event was marked by a lively and heart-warming atmosphere, as pupils expressed visible excitement and gratitude while receiving their school supplies. The smiles on their faces reflected renewed hope, motivation, and confidence for a successful academic journey. This landmark Back-to-School project further underscored Lagos Metropolitan Lions Club’s dedication to the global Lions cause of supporting children, youth, and education. It stood out as one of the most impactful service activities of the 2025/2026 Lions year, highlighting the Club’s resolve to make sustainable differences in the lives of young learners.

The Club expressed profound appreciation to the District Governor (DG), Council Chairperson/Chairperson Advisory (CAL), Second Vice District Governor (SVDG), Past District Governors (PDGs), other Lion leaders, members, and invited guests whose presence, generosity, and support contributed immensely to the success of the programme.

Through initiatives such as this, Lagos Metropolitan Lions Club continues to demonstrate that service, when driven by compassion and collective effort, remains a powerful tool for building a brighter future for society.

Real Service; Committed to Serve.
